You’ll be surprise, for rich people saving money is not the priority…

Honestly, how many times have you checked your bank account and then safely conclude, there’s not much in my account?

I got used to it. But don’t get used to it. Or else you will be living your life getting used to it. And this was the reason why I started to study what’s going on with people who are rich and people who are poor.

Tony Robbins once said, you can copy successful people, or model what they are doing, and you will be successful too. So here’s the 7 things poor people do that the rich don’t.

Number one: poor people watch TV and rich people read books.

How many hours do you spend in front of the Television? And when was the last time you read a book? How many books do you read a week? A year?

You can read books but if time doesn’t permit, listen to podcasts or educational audio book.

You know what’s best way to read a book so you can finish it? Just focus on one book that you enjoy. My mistake before was that there were books in my bathroom, my coffee table and then my bedroom.

What I really did was just having one book out for the whole week.

Number two, poor people get paid based on time. Rich people get paid based on results.

Let’s say you’re working at Mcdonald’s. You may be the best floor cleaner on the planet ever, but what value you bring to Mcdonald’s?

Rich people get paid based on results, but not time invested. Let’s say we’re working on a product. We spent a year creating, perfecting the product we bring into the market place and it sucks. It doesn’t make us a dime. The world doesn’t give a fuck if we didn’t make money. Nobody cares how much time, blood, sweat and tears were put into creating a product and bring it to the marketplace.

How much risk we take, the market don’t care. What the market or the customer or the client cares is result. That’s why the highest paid athlete in the world, they don’t get paid by how many hours they practice, how many times they invested. No, it is how much they perform.

They get paid based on performance.

Number three, poor people blame others for their misfortunes. Rich people take responsibility for their own failures

For poor people, there’s always somebody to blame or is always somebody else’s fault. You can hear excuses such as: It’s the economy, It’s the government. It’s my boss. It’s my job. It’s my city is my neighbor. It’s my friends. It’s always somebody else.

It’s never their own fucking fault. Rich people would take responsibility if your life goes south. We take responsibility for all our actions. When you take responsibility, what happens is that you gain power. The power to change, the power to do something different. Remember, don’t blame people.

Number four, poor people focus on saving and rich people focus on investing.

You know what? Don’t drink that Starbucks coffee in the morning. Try to save a few dollars here and there. You’re don’t fly first class, only economy, always try to save a few dollars. Well, here’s the thing. A penny saved is still a fucking penny. You’re not going to get rich by trying to save a few bucks. You don’t have a saving problem. You have an income problem my friend. You need to earn a lot more money so you could invest.

It’s hard to get wealthy by just scrimping and saving (you can, but you will be old and sickly). Invest, that’s the deal.

Number five, poor people, think they know everything. Rich people continuously learn.

You see, poor people are always very opinionated. They always want to tell the world about their opinions, about politics, about sports, about the society, about the government, about every single thing that’s around

Rich people are always learning, investing on themselves to improve. Rich people continuously ask questions.

Rich people are listening, reading books, continuously learning versus saying that I’ve a got an opinion about fucking everything.

You don’t.

Poor people are always opinionated. I can see people, they’re watching videos on YouTube and they will voice out their concerns. and then comment.

Get a life.

Remember, your income can only go to the extent on what you do. Your wealth can only grow as fast as you want to if you want to be rich.

Number six. Poor people believe that money is the root of all evil. Rich people believe that poverty is the root of all evil.

You’ve heard of the saying money’s the root of all evil. No lack of money is the root of all evil. I want you to look at the poorest neighborhoods. I would just think about those areas. Crime, drug problems, all kinds of issues you see in the history of mankind. No Bank’s been wronged by someone. Money itself is neutral. Money is a tool. You can use it for good or it can use it for evil. It is all up to you.

Number seven, poor people. They have lottery mentality and rich people have action mentality.

You see, most people, they believe the only way to get rich, it’s buying a lottery ticket. Even though they know that the chances of winning is slim to none, they buy their fantasy. Hopefully if I win, I’m going to buy the house. I’m going to quit my job, I’m going to take that vacation.

Rich people have an action mentality. They believe if it’s going to be, it is up to me. I’m going to make it happen. I’m going to make myself successful. I don’t need some third party and I definitely don’t need to rely on some lottery tickets. I’m going to make it happen. So those are the seven things that poor people do that the rich don’t.
