As a scientist with a background in drug chemistry and forensic science, I’ve got this professional itch that won’t quit.

Whenever I hear about a new drug (or chemical), I can’t just let it slide — I have to dig deep to uncover its secrets.

It’s like an annoying itch that only research can scratch. And that’s exactly what happened when I stumbled upon ‘GLP-1’.

But before anything else, I want to set the stage and have a confession to make:

I’ve used Viagra

Though not for the reasons you might think.

In the lab, I’ve worked with all kinds of ‘bad boys’ like cocaine, morphine, and fentanyl.

Why?

Because I’m a former forensic chemist. I’ve studied Schedule 1 drugs — those drugs deemed to have no medical use and high abuse potential.

To do that, my old lab needed a special license from the DEA to even buy these substances.

With this background, when I first heard of GLP-1, I dug deep and learn more about GLP-1, and these are the things I found out.
