The last middle school dance is what I meant.

The Corsage Bracelet Mommy bought for your Middle School Dance Date

May 6, 2022 Friday

Dear Koji,

Tonight is your middle school dance. Mom bought the corsage bracelet for your date and the dress from Amazon. You asked that your dress should match the dress of your date (It kindah).

Dad asked you to workout, play basketball outside in our Cul de sac because we asked you to always practice. We know that your next goal is to play basketball in the high school level.

Why did daddy asked you to work out? Because you need to in order to be in high school basketball. Don’t miss a practice. I remember Arnold Schwarzenegger’s story when he was still a teenager.

He never miss a workout, but one Sunday, the gym was closed. You know what the Terminator did? He broke-in through the rest room and workout inside an unheated gym.

You have to be obsessed if you want to continue to play basketball in the next level.

There’s a story about the greatest swimmer of all time, Michael Phelps. Phelp’s coach, as the story goes, gave Michael only 15 minutes to prepare for his middle school dance. He was still in the pool prior to the dance.

That’s how you get better: you push yourself a little more out of your comfort zone. Pushing you a little bit is what’s daddy is doing. And in the end too, we want to impart to you the value of hard work. If you want to excel in the next level, don’t be scared to do the work. Don’t be scared to work continuously, with no end.

Love,

Mommy and Daddy.
