Successful people Don’t Let This Derail Them

The technical term for failure is “it sucks”, but it is a very important part of the equation, here’s ways to bounce back

It sucks to fail, but you need it.

In this blog post, I want to tell you how not to give up when things don’t go your way. It’s easy enough for a failure or two in one area of life to make us feel like failures overall, but we can recover from that and use the experience as motivation.

So let me tell you about my story with an example of what it looks like to be resilient in the face of temporary setbacks.

When my boss brought me to the conference room, the HR manager was already there.

The lady took a sip from her coffee mug and look straight to me without saying anything. She handed me the pink slip. I was let go of the company I worked for.

Looking back, it was the best thing that happened to me, even though at that moment, I was scared.

But this “failure” or it suck moments built me an spiritual muscle that got used to failure and comeback strong.

I started a business that failed, and failed and succeed.

I’m an entrepreneur and I know that every time you take a risk, there’s always the chance of it not working out.

But here’s my advice from a heart that have been tested, broken hearted and felt “I suck” every time: don’t let a temporary failure become a permanent defeat.

How do you avoid this?

You need to be resilient in your thinking.

It’s important to remember that failure is not the end of the world. It’s just the beginning of a new start. There will be many more opportunities coming your way, and it most likely won’t even be related to what you failed at this time.

You’re reading this because you’ve hit a bump in the road and your stomach is sinking. This doesn’t have to be permanent, but if you let it go on for too long then that’s what will happen.

So instead of letting one failure lead to another, take some time off from work and get back on track with these four steps!

  1. Get out of bed — I heard a guru that says depression will sink in once you fail, especially massive failure. It’s hard to get out of bed. And one trick to make her out of bed was to count backwards from 5–4–3–2–1.
  2. Drink water — Water is essential part of life, so when I advice drink water, I mean drink water from the ocean. You failed, but doesn’t mean you can’t go to the beach and surf. Surf for a while, and take it day by the day.
  3. Take deep breaths — Meditate, and this could also be walking in the park and doing walking meditation. Again, life needs breathing.
  4. Fall asleep again — Just like waking up and getting up in the morning, the evenings is where you wind down and your brain become so active again. Here’s my advice: Meditate before going to bed to silence the monkey mind, then fall asleep.
