WHAT’S YOUR FOUR MINUTE MILE? (Mine is starting an on-line business with the least start-up cost)

4-minute pace was deemed not achievable until Roger Bannister did it.

No one believed before that a man can run a 4-minute mile pace.

Until in 1954, Roger Bannister ran a mile under 4 minutes. He did it with less than a minute to spare. It was a blistering pace.

Here’s the thing, after Bannister, more than thousands of athletes broke the 4-minute mile. Even high school athlete did it.

What happened?

I mean, the potential of us as humans to run that pace never changed. OUr potential to run that pace was there. What changed then?

What changed was the BELIEF that we can do it.

Once Bannister broke the 4-minute mike, the believe shifted, from we can’t do it to we can.

Was teaching chemistry in a community college before, and I always struggle to tell my students that chemistry is learnable. In their mind, chemistry is hard and you need to be a genius to understand it.

Throughout the semester, I tell my students that believe you can learn it and back it up with hard work. Believe that you don’t need to be a genius to understand chemistry.

.

At the end of the semester, some of my students struggling thank me for the motivation.

Some can’t even believe they pass and understand chemistry.

One time, a student of mine invited me to be in her graduation because she was the first one in her family to ever graduate ( a nursing degree).

She wanted me to meet her parents and personally thank me for instilling believes.

Let me ask you now, what’s your 4-minute barrier?

Mine was having an online business, work at home and in my Pajama.

It took me a while to believe that working at home and in your Pajama was possible. That having an on-line business with a minimum start-up cost was possible.
